Faststream Recruitment Inc’s North American headquarters located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, have relocated to larger office premises due to massive growth.
The US office, Faststream’s first taste of international expansion was launched in 2005. The move to establish headquarters in this region came after an increase in demand from US maritime companies who wanted to recruit shore-based employees. These clients were previously serviced through Faststream’s UK office until the volume of business came to a point where a physical presence in the US became vital. Fort Lauderdale was chosen as the location due to its proximity to major shipping organisations and the fact that it’s one of the largest shipping hubs within the continent.
Since opening its doors with just two employees the office is now home to ten maritime specialists, with plans to grow this to fourteen by the end of 2008. The new office, again located in Fort Lauderdale, has 3 times the capacity of the previous premises.
