Demand from employers looking to recruit in the mining sector shows no sign of letting up, says Matthew Barwell, Senior Consultant at specialist mining recruiter Faststream.

Barwell says at the Mines and Money event recently held in London that “many employers attending still had open vacancies” and that “whilst the short term prospects for the sector might be gloomy, most companies expect to still need to hire people in the next twelve months”.

Barwell continued “demand for experienced professionals remains strong with skills shortages in some areas of mining still making it difficult to hire good people.”
